I recently heard about the acronym GRAPES and I have been trying to incorporate it into my daily life. Whenever I'm feeling a little down or stressed I try to slow down and think of what might be missing from my day and I go through each letter in my head. 
If you're having a tough day I recommend trying to add a little of each one. For example, you could take a walk with a friend and that would cover both the exercise and social components. You could read a book and that would cover relaxation and pleasure. Cleaning the kitchen while talking on the phone with a friend would cover accomplishment and social. The more often you do them, the more naturally it will come.
