Exercise doesn't have to be rigid or time-consuming. By adding 10,000 steps to your day you can drastically improve your overall health. The following tips can help you reach your goal of 10,000 steps with minimal interference with your regular routine. 

Take your dog for a walk 3x a day.
Walk the outside aisles of the grocery store before you start shopping.
Walk around your house while talking on the phone. 
Get off the bus one stop early. 
Checking the mail? Take a tour around the house first.
Walk over to your coworker’s desk instead of emailing.
Go for a 20-minute walk after dinner. 
Stand up and march in place during every commercial break. 
Always take the stairs instead of the elevator. 
Designate 10 minutes of your lunch break for a quick walk.
Too cold outside? Go to the mall and walk for an hour indoors. 
Park in the far side of the parking lot. 
Create a competition with your friends to see who can get the most steps per day.
