Smoothie Recipe

It might not look like spring around the Chicagoland area (we got 5 inches of snow this weekend). But I know it's coming and I'm ready for some spring cleaning. I'm planning on cleaning my house and cleansing my body with nutrient dense foods. This smoothie will help wake your body with raw, energizing foods and it's also delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 packet of Vega One (you can swap out a different protein powder, this one's my favorite)
  • 1 handful of ice (if you don't use a frozen banana)

Directions:
In a large blender, place all of the ingredients and blend for 10 seconds. Increase to high speed for 10-20 seconds until you reach a shake-like consistency. 

Consume immediately or place in the fridge for later use. The smoothie will keep up to one day in the fridge.
